CEMS Reliability Program

ADA-ES, Inc. (ADA) offers several levels of Hg-CEMS services to best suit the needs of the customer.

CEMStraining
  • Basic System Evaluation: ADA will provide a skilled technician to evaluate the existing Hg-CEMS system and provide a detailed report of suggested upgrades, repairs, maintenance and operational changes. ADA maintains a basic inventory of parts and can perform repairs to minimize down time
  • Technician Training: ADA will provide an experienced instructor to train Hg-CEMS operators and technicians in the basic functions of the Thermo Fisher system. This package can be expanded to include advanced troubleshooting
    • Level 1 Training – Operators will be trained in the operation and basic troubleshooting of the various Hg-CEMS components
    • Level 2 Training – Operators will be trained in the detailed interpretation of the Hg-CEMS data to enable advanced troubleshooting
  • Extended Monitoring and Service: The extended service contract can be tailored to the customer’s needs. This package can include services such as:
    • Extended Monitoring – A proprietary program is used to evaluate operational data from the Hg-CEMS at a frequency required by the customer (daily, weekly, monthly), or ADA can install equipment to directly communicate with the CEMS to permit remote monitoring, calibrations, and basic troubleshooting. ADA can also install equipment to directly communicate with the CEMS
    • Extended Service – ADA technicians will be provided, as needed, to perform required repairs, quarterly maintenance, and can assist with annual RATA tests
  • Integration and Optimization of Hg-CEMS and ACI Systems: ADA will provide skilled technicians to evaluate existing ACI and Hg-CEMS systems and provide a detailed report of suggested upgrades, repairs, maintenance and operational changes. ADA can integrate the Hg-CEMS and ACI systems using a proprietary program that optimizes sorbent feedrate to reduce PAC usage while maintaining compliance.

Other Mercury Measurement Services: EPA Method 30B

ADA can provide expert training in the performance of M30B and analysis of sorbent traps. ADA took part in EPRI’s development of the sorbent trap method and maintains several M30B consoles and analyzers for on-site, sorbent trap analysis.
